Essen. On March 25, 2011, Evonik Industries closed a purchaseagreement to acquire the hanse chemie Group. By acquiring theGroup, which includes hanse chemie AG and nanoresins AG, Evonikwill be able to enter additional markets for specialty applicationsin silicone chemistry. Both parties agreed not to disclose thepurchase price. The sale is still subject to the approval of thecorporate bodies.
